ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
Arugano Branca Issehara
Want to taste history? Here's your chance. Katsunuma Winery started producing this single vineyard wine in 2004 as the first wine where they felt one could clearly identify the character of the unique Japanese terroir. They see this moment as a crucial and revolutionary moment in their company history, but I'm going to go one step further and say this was a defining moment in Japanese wine history. This is the dawn of the discovery of Japanese terroir! Isehara is the name of the vineyard that this wine's Koshu grapes come from. The area has great drainage, the vines root firmly, and the fruits are strong and heart. The brand value for the vineyard has certainly gone up since the creation of this popular, highly-regarded wine. Mostly made in stainless-steel tanks, this wine has floral and fruity aromas and deep, complex mineral flavors.
