Aruga Branca Clareza

Katsunuma

Irresistible aroma of Japanese citrus such as ponkan, satsuma mandarin, amanatsu, as well as grapefruit and lime, but the party doesn't stop there—it's joined by some green apple, herbs and peppery cinnamon spice. There is a mineral complexity, firm acidity, yeasty umami, and a salty tangy finish.

ABOUT THIS BOTTLE

Aruga Branca Clareza

With gorgeous bottomless clarity as the name perfectly conveys, Aruga Branca Clareza is one of their core products from their flagship Aruga Branca series. There was a dearth of wines that pair well with miso and soy sauce in the past, but this wine was born to fill that absence and more. Aged on the lees (Fermented with the dead yeast cells. As gross as that may sound, it's actually beneficial for many wines, often making the wine creamier, richer, fuller-bodied, or adding depth and complexity.) for six months, unoaked, this is a dry wine with refreshing citrus aromas, and wonderful balance of crispness, freshness and a dash of umami.

HOW TO ENJOY

PAIRING

Born to be served with miso, soy sauce and wasabi, this wine is a dream partner to Japanese food. Also goes well with fresh water fish like trout, salted and grilled, sushi, steamed shellfish, vegetable tempura, fresh, piping hot croquettes with salt and a squeeze of lemon. I'm not drooling, you are!

SERVING

Best chilled at around 46-48°F and served in a wine glass.
